Jasmine Agosto
Jasmine Agosto was born in Boston and her mother and paternal grandparents immegrated from Puerto Rico. When her family moved into the Hartford area, Agosto began to get to know her community which in turn inspired her to work in community organizations and outreach. After graduating from Trinity College Agosto would go on to attend graduate school and begin her career in art and art history including the creation of La Sala Feme, a place for women and queer people of color to make art and express themselves. Agosto continues to work with her community and has bright goals for the future of Hartford.
